Cemetery Lots

As part of Trinity Methodist Church’s external ministries, the church offers cemetery lots in three area cemeteries. These cemeteries were once on the properties of churches that have since closed and combined to form the current Trinity Methodist Church. The three cemeteries are:

Salem Cemetery

Located at the corner of Highway 67 and Third Street, 1070 Church Street in the Village of Lomira.

Ebenezer Cemetery

Located at the corner of County KK and Butternut Road, northeast of Lomira in the Township of Lomira.

Emanuel Cemetery

Located at the corner of County Y and County AY (Lomira Drive and County AY), west of Lomira in the Township of Lomira.

The Trinity Methodist Cemeteries Associated is the group that maintains these three cemeteries. A Trustees Board of nine people cares for the cemetery property and related business.

Cemetery lots are available to both members and non-members. The lots are for human remains only, and only above-ground monuments are permitted. No shrubs or trees are allowed on the lots, and flowers and memorials should be placed in vases or on top of the monument to keep the cemetery clean. Deeds are provided for each lot after full payment.

Prices

  • Members: Lots are $1,000 and perpetual care is $1,000.

  • Non-members: Lots are $2,000 and perpetual care is $2,000.

Each burial, whether a body or cremated remains, requires a perpetual care fee, which is used to maintain all three cemeteries. This includes lawn mowing, snow removal, and planting grass. Family members are responsible for stone maintenance.

A single lot can accommodate one body and one cremated human remains, or two cremated human remains. You can reserve a lot for yourself and your family members. Lots are available in all three cemeteries and multiple lots can be accommodated together.

Trinity Wood Memorial, located behind the church at the corner of Highway 67 and East Avenue, is also available for ashes distribution. The cost is $100 per person with no marker, plus the price for a memorial plaque. To place an urn, you must contact a committee member. Each urn placement requires perpetual care. If a member of the Trinity Methodist Cemeteries Associated performs the digging and burial of the urn, there is a $100 fee per urn.

For more information, you can contact the person for each cemetery or email the Trinity Methodist Church office. Contact information for cemetery representatives is listed on the document. The church office is staffed for a few hours during the week.
