Dear Trinity Family & Friends,
Join us this Sunday at Trinity Methodist Church for an uplifting message! We will be exploring a beautiful story from the Bible in Luke 13:10-17, where Jesus performs a healing on the Sabbath. Our sermon, “Set Free on the Sabbath,” tells the story of a woman who was bent over and in pain for eighteen long years. Jesus saw her, called her forward, and set her free with just a touch and a word. She immediately stood up straight and praised God!
But some people were upset because Jesus did this on their day of rest. They were more focused on their rules than on her pain. Jesus reminded everyone that God’s day is not about following restrictions; it is a day for showing mercy, doing good, and setting people free. This isn’t just a story from long ago. It is about us, too. Many of us are bent over, not physically, but by things like worry, guilt, stress, or past hurts. Jesus sees us and calls us forward to offer us that same freedom and rest.
This weekend, we invite you to come as you are. Bring your family, bring your friends, and come experience the freeing love of Jesus with us. We are a community that loves like Jesus, grows together in faith, and serves God and one another.
Speaking of community, we have so much to celebrate together! This Sunday, we extend a very happy birthday and a joyful anniversary to all those marking these special moments this week. We are so grateful for you and can’t wait to share in your joy.
And to everyone joining us, whether you are gathering with us in person or worshipping with us online from home, we extend a warm and heartfelt welcome. We are truly glad you are here.
Just a reminder, this Sunday we will have our contemporary service filled with a lot of vibrant music and joyful praises to God. It’s the perfect environment to feel God’s presence and to be set free. We can’t wait to worship with you
In Christ’s love,
Rev. Mulongo Mpoyo
